Summer Achievement Academy 2024 Registration OPEN

Summer Achievement Academy 2024 registration is open to students 
currently enrolled in grades 9 through 12 in need of credit recovery. 
To register, complete this registration form (one form per student): 

WHAT: In-person credit retrieval will be offered in:
  • Algebra 1/2 (0.5 credit)
  • Biology (1.0 credit)
  • Contemporary World Studies ( 1.0  credit)
  • ELA ( 1.0   credit)
  • Geometry (0.5 credit)
  • Humanities ( 1.0  credit)
  • APEX (0.5 credit)
Most courses not offered in the in-person classroom format will be available through an in-person offering of APEX courses.
  • Students will be placed in one of the in-person classes listed above.
  • Students who need to recover multiple credits may choose to enroll in both the in-person course and APEX extended day.
  • Some students may be placed in an APEX course to meet credit needs. These placements are most successful when the student has a demonstrated history of successful independent work. 
  • PLEASE NOTE: Your student's counselor and/or administrator will place them in the best course for credit recovery. Confirmation of the registered course will be sent via email to the address provided below by June 21, 2024. Registration forms received on or after this date will be addressed on a first-come, first-served basis.
WHO:  CHS and CJHS students who are currently credit deficient and enrolled in grades 9 through 12

  • Regular day will be held June 24 to July 23, Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 11:00am (with no school on Thursday and Friday, July 4 and 5)  
  • An optional APEX extended day will be held  June 24 to July 23  , Monday through Friday, from 11:10am to 12:20pm ( with no school on Thursday and Friday, July 4 and 5). Students must be enrolled in the regular day program to access the extended day option.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Students who are absent for four (4) days during the session will not receive credit for the course and will not be eligible for a refund of registration fees. Teachers will take attendance in every course. 
  • Students who arrive more than fifteen (15) minutes late are considered absent. 
  • Students who arrive fourteen (14) minutes or less are considered tardy. Three days tardy equates to one day absent. 
MEALS: Free breakfast and lunch are available to all students every day.

  • Regular day registration fee is $200 for full price. Students who qualify for Free or Reduced meals can access a reduced rate: $100 for reduced rates and $50 for free rates.
  • To add the optional APEX extended day, an additional cost of $100 will be added to the regular fee. Students who qualify for free or reduced meals can access a reduced rate for the extended day: an additional $50 for reduced rates ($150 total) and $25 for free rates ($75 total).
  • PLEASE NOTE: to access free or reduced rates, students must have (1) a 2023-2024 Household Application for Free/Reduced Priced Meals on file and (2) a 2023-2024 Consent to Share Nutrition Eligibility Information Form on file, both of which are found on our Nutrition Services Website
